What Sound Sensory Overload May Be Like For Your Child

October 24, 2018 by jennifer 1 Comment

Does your child get overwhelmed by sounds. Does he covers his ears when our in public, but you don’t know why? Sounds that seem innocent enough to us can be extremely overwhelming to children with auditory sensitivities. Even now, my son will sometimes say he’s just too overwhelmed by a loud room.

I love this video… it shows how your child may be experiencing the sound input coming at him. Also, here are some headphone recommendations.

I can’t say enough about these Baby Banz Hearing Protector Earmuffs for younger kids. I’ve recommended these to many in our community and have nothing but positive feedback from everyone. Plus, they come in several colors to make them a bit more fun for child. (They even come in green and pink camouflage!)

As my kids have gotten older, we’ve moved to move adult brands, that have worked great for them.

I recommend you consider these models as well:

Be careful, wearing noise reduction head phones can increase sensitivity to sound!
