Fine Motor Skills: Finger Isolation Activities

May 20, 2026 by jennifer Leave a Comment

“The term finger isolation refers to the ability to move certain fingers apart from the rest of the hand/fingers. For most of us, we learned this skill very early on in our development.

When children begin using their hands, all fingers move together at the same time. As they grow and develop, they gain the ability to move individual fingers.” – Early Intervention Support
