For kids and adults alike, the deep pressure and balanced weight of this weighted compression vest are gentle, calming and reassuring.
Weighted Compression Vest (Proprioception)
Imagine one, big, wearable hug. Here it is-the weighted compression vest that encourages the big trifecta of calm, focus, and concentration for learning. And it looks weigh-cool, too. There’s a soft neoprene shell for comfort (think deep-sea divers), air-conditioned mesh sides and pockets to place adjustable weights.
FOR: Steady proprioceptive input (body awareness) for kids and adults on the autism spectrum, with sensory processing disorders, or hyperactivity.
WHY: It works. And it’s lightening-fast to put on, take off and adjust. Easy-on, hook and loop closures on sides and shoulders make size adjustment a snap. You place weights in the safe, closed pockets-add, remove and adjust as you’d like.
Most sizes include two 1/2 lb. weights and four 1/4 lb. weights for a total of 2 lbs. XX-Small includes four 1/4 lb. weights for a total of 1 lb.
- Vest calms and provides steady proprioceptive input, as the combined pressure and weight functions as a reassuring deep hug
- Provides calming benefits for a sensory diet.
- Deep pressure can be intensified or removed as the tightness can be altered via Hook and Loop closures at the trunk and shoulders
